X-Treme Gogo's were released in 2012 for the C1000 Supermarkets in the Netherlands. It was the fourth and final Gogo's promotion featured at the store. This series is based on extreme sports (e.g. Surfing, BMX, skateboarding), and each Gogo came with an accessory such as a skateboard or surfboard to stand on. The Gogo's in this series attach to these accessories through a hole in the bottom of the figure that connects to a plug in the accessory.

There were also 4 special edition packs of Gogo's that included a larger deluxe accessory as well as the Gogo pictured on the packaging. The accessories available were a parachute, fingerboard, snow ski and BMX bike. A special collector's case that held each of the 56 Gogo's and each accessory, as well as plush toys of Cheryl and Nassim, were sold in stores during the promotion. As usual, a Gogo was given away to customers for every 10 euros spent.

The final 8 characters in the set are based on Dutch athletes. They are not numbered and have their first initials on their backs instead (for example, Curren has the letter "C" on his back where a number would be). Each of these 8 figures received a special promotional video showcasing the athlete they were based on as well as special art for their Gogo.

Trivia[]

  • This series is the final full set of Gogo's that used original designs (that aren't based on pre-existing characters, brands, or real-world people) to release.
  • X-Gogo's were not obtainable anywhere outside of C1000 stores.
  • An official image (see the gallery below) shows a pack of X-Gogo's without the C1000 branding anywhere on it. It is possible that another release of the set was planned at some point.
  • The official website for the series, as well as a commercial for the promotion, used a song named "TV Dracula" by Jalise Romy & Joveek Murphy. The song itself has only even been heard on these two advertisements and has never been released.
  • The 8 figures based on athletes are the first modern Gogo's to have letters on their backs instead of numbers. The last series to do this was the American Mega Bones collection in 1998.
  • This is the second main set to feature characters based on real people, the first being the Israel-exclusive Olympics set.
